Leisa
Temple is one of Canada’s most talented painters of dogs
and horses. She captures in watercolor and oils the unquestioning
love and understanding of our canine companions and depicts
the power and beauty of the majestic creatures in the
equine world.
Leisa was raised in Toronto and attended the Ontario College
of Art and Sheridan College. She developed a passion for drawing
and painting animals at a very young age and combined with this
was an inherent love and active participation within the dog
and horse show world.
Since 1974 she has specialized in the depiction of dogs and
horses completing numerous commissions for clients in watercolor,
oil, acrylic, and bronze. Her work hangs in many private collections
throughout Canada, the United States and Bermuda.
Most recently Leisa completed a commission for the Rhodesian
Ridgeback Club of the United States to illustrate their Elaboration
of the American Kennel Club Standard.
